Splash Planet

cooltext116709583978140.png
It was the first day of the April school holidays when my family and I travelled to the Hawkes Bay Region. We were going on road trip to splash planet to experience the No. 1 family amusement park in  New Zealand.

After hours of driving we finally arrived at splash planet. “Choo Hoo!” My cousins and I cheered. We received a paper and a pencil to go around looking for easter eggs (not chocolate ones). “Come on lets go!” I yelled eagerly to my family. The eggs had different patterns, colours and numbers from 1-8. As hours passed by we eventually found all 8 eggs and claimed our prize which was a real chocolate egg for everyone. “Hmmmm Delicious!”To be honest they were very hard to find because they were scattered in good hiding spots such as behind a house in Tiny Town.

When we finished the easter hunt, we went to check out all the amazing rides. There were loads of fantastic wet rides such as the master blaster where you slide down through a pitch black cold tunnel from an outside tower into a warm pool of water. The sky castle screamer which was super fast, the lazy river were my family and I relaxed most of the time and many more spectacular rides. All of the activities were awesome but the ride I most-liked was the double-dipper as I could ride doubles with my mum and fall into a cold pool of water which made me feel refreshed!

At the end of the day my experience at splash planet was awesome as I loved all the rides especially my favourite the double dipper. Chilling with my family was cool too but most of all having a great time was my number 1 goal for the trip. One thing I wish to happen is to have my 12th or 13th birthday there.

Why Are Video Games Good?

Why are video games good? Video games are good because it keeps you busy, teaches you things and keeps you fit. How does video games keep you busy? One of the reasons why video games are good because if you're, bored, alone or inactive you could play on a game console, such as a xbox. I always play video games that can teach me things such as the game called Minecraft. What is minecraft?

Minecraft is a video game where you build things like a house (as many stories as you want), fast food buildings such as a Mcdonalds, pools, people, minion, mods, skins, literary anything. Minecraft is infinite which means the world is limitless. Minecraft can also teach you how to make things like armor, sticks, wood planks etc by crafting and collecting supplies by mining diamonds, iron or gold. Minecraft is a really good interesting game that is addictive. Fitness Time!

Keeping you fit is another reason why video games are good. There are games that you can play that can get you fit like the Dance Central Series, Just Dance Succession, Kinect Sports and many more. Dance Central is a game where you have to mirror the onscreen characters moves with either a family member, friend or by yourself, its the same with Just Dance but you can play upto 4 players. Kinect sports is a variety of sport games that you can play such as boxing, soccer, track and field, bowling etc.

In conclusion video games are good as they can keep you, busy if you're bored, it can teach you things like how to build a house or a restaurant and most of all keep you fit by playing Dance Central, Just Dance or Kinect Sports. Who would want to live without video games!

Xtreme Entertainment!!!

Intro: Driving To Extreme Entertainment
“VRMMMMM!” My mum and I were off to Xtreme Entertainment at Wairau Valley. As we were driving there I was thinking about the megazone laser strike. Do you know what laser strike is?

Chapter 2: First Activity (Laser Strike)
As soon as we arrived we went upstairs to the laser strike. First I went to the megazone briefing room to know what the rules were and how to get points. The rules are no climbing, swearing, running and physical contact. How to get points is you shoot targets on the wall and shoot bases which are on every corner of the room and worth 2000 points. My first game I came 3rd, my 2nd game I came 4th, 3rd game I came first and my 4th game I came 1st again. I wanted to do another round of laser strike but my mother said, “Try something different son.”

Chapter 3: Next Activity (Bowling)
So I decided to do Ten Pin Bowling. When we were playing my mum got 1 strike and no spares and I got no strikes and 2 spares. A strike is when you knock down all the pins in one go. Spares are when you knock them all down with two bowls. I enjoyed the game that I wanted to play again. But instead we decided to play some arcade/video games.

Chapter 4: Last Activity (Arcade Games)
The first arcade game we played was Wheel Of Fortune. In this game you have to guess what the word is before the time runs out. My mum and I only won once. Next we, well I, played Bling King. In the machine it has small square containers that are worth 100 tickets. On my first two attempts I got one of the square boxes. I was surprised and purchased a ball with my tickets at the reception. My mum and I took a photo at the photo booth machine then went on a miniature motion master, which was wicked because it was like you are in the scene.

Conclusion: FAVORITE THING
Xtreme Entertainment if you ask me it is a weird name as there is nothing extreme inside. For example a ninja warrior course. But at least it has cool stuff like laser strike, bowling and lots of amazing arcade games. I hope that I can return there to have my 11th birthday.
