Once upon a time their was a boy who had a job from his father. That job was looking out for wolves so they could not eat the sheep. He had to keep his eyes peeled day and night watching out for wolves. Then he got so bored of doing this job that he went and asked his dad “ Can't the sheep look after themselves? I'm bored of looking after the sheep,” “ Sorry no son. This is a very important job to do,” dad replied. So then the boy went back and looked after the sheep and kept his eyes peeled for wolves.

Then after a few hours he got even more bored. So then he made a prank to act like a wolf was here. He cried out “ WOLF WOLF WOOOOOOOOLF.” Then the villagers came running towards the boy ready to kill the wolf with their weapons. When they arrived there was no wolf.  Thats when the boy said, “ HA HA!! Fooled you all.” The villagers weren’t quite happy with him and the blacksmith too. He thought pranking was so funny that he made up another one but made it look like a wolf had really had been here. He made a better act by daubing red paint on his arm to look like the wolf had bit him. After daubing red paint on his arm he cried out, “ WOLF WOLF WOOOOOOOOOOOLF” Then the villagers came running towards the boy. When they arrived the second time they got pranked again. Thats when he laughed again and said, “ HA HA! FOOLED YOU ALL!!” Then they all got angry at him. Not one villager laughed only him. Then the boy went home.

When he arrived at home his dad was furious with him. He never thought it was funny when his son was pranking the villagers but he did. So did his friends. Then he went back to his job still keeping an eye out for wolves.

A few minutes later sheep started to run around like headless chickens dogs were barking it was all chaos. Then out of nowhere the big bad wolf that he had been looking out for came out of nowhere and seized the sheep by biting its back. “ OUCH!!!’’ the boy cried at the poor little sheep. After seeing the wolf the boy went and called for help by saying, “ WOLF WOLF WOOOOOOOLF!!” But no villagers listened to him they kept on doing their own thing. Then the boy went to the blacksmith, “ But this time its true, ” the boy cried with his eyes filled with tears. Then the blacksmith just ignored him and stayed on task with his job.

MORAL OF STORY

No Body Believes a Liar, Even When They Are Telling The Truth And Don't Cry Out Wolf Unless You Really Mean It.

Minecraft

First Mansion

Minecraft is a game where you can mine things then craft them. You can mine and craft trees, rocks, wood and many more other things.

The first time I played Minecraft I was addicted to it. When I opened it up they generated a new world and I had to call it something. I called it Unbelievable Island. After naming my world I looked around to find somewhere to build my mansion. Finally I found a place to build it. . My Mansion was flash and huge.

Next I built more houses. It was like I had a town. After building all my houses it was night and I went to bed in one of my homes and lay there until it was morning.

'When the sun came rising up I went around my house to see if anybody had come in but there was no one. I went and checked my other houses and then I found a creeper that was outside my backyard trying to escape. I ran to it and just got the creeper when it was about to escape and killed it. It was hard because he was fighting back and it took most of my life out.

Playing Minecraft is magnificent because I enjoy building houses. When I grow up I want to be a builder.

Doing The Cup Song

Have you heard of a movie called Pitch Perfect? Well I have and I love it. There is a scene, which is my favourite part of the movie, with a girl in it named Beca. She does an audition which people call the cup song. Here is a short movie of me doing it. Hope you enjoy.

Why Easter Is Celebrated

Easter is a day of celebration. This was when Jesus died on the cross. God sacrificed Jesus so he could wash peoples sins away. When he died he was resurrected on the third day. That means he came back to life.

SOAP BOX DERBY 2013

Soap Box Derby was only advertised for year 6 students but I’m lucky because I’m a year 5 student that got to attend this event. This opportunity made me feel excited as I’ve never competed in this type of sport. Also I like trying out new things. 

Each Soap box Derby team has 4 drivers and 6 pit crew.  Obviously a driver is a person that drives a car but instead for soap box derby they drive a trolley.  A trolley is a small ovoid with 4 wheels similar to a go-kart. You have to have to be a certain size, height and weight to be able to drive it.

The pit crew are people who polish the kart, carry it onto scales to weigh, make sure the wheels are spinning and everything is working.  They also keep the driver cool and shaded from the sun.

While getting ready to race I was absolutely excited.  I was excited as it was my very first time to be in one of these competitions before.  First we had to weigh the kart with me in it before going any further.  This was to check that all competitors had an equal amount of weight.  After that one of the pit crew members shaded me with an umbrella while the others carried the vehicle over onto the starting platform. Then I hoped into the trolley.

“Are you ready?” The race officials questioned me. “Yes I am,” I replied back. “Ok, ONE! TWO! THREE! GO!” Then off we went down the hill then into the dip and through the finish line. “What did I come mum?” I asked. “I’m not sure? Wait until they announce it.” She replied… “Pt. England School first.” The race officials announced. “Hooray,” the supporters cheered merrily.

Participating in Soap Box Derby was challenging because there were heaps of schools that I had to compete against. However, it was still an awesome experience driving down a hill with my family and friends cheering me on.  If you want to see me in action come to Nationals on Sunday the 7^th of April at Whangaparoa.

Sleeping In A Tent

While sleeping in a tent with two other boys right beside me was so uncomfortable because there was not much space. Also the ground was lumpy and uneven. It was absolutely crammed.

Have you camped outside your own school before? Well i have and it is awesome because we can play with our friends. This camp was only for year 5 and 6’s.

We did lots of activities such as top town, get lost, roller skating and many more. My favourite activity was get lost. It is similar to the program the amazing race which is challenging.

I’m having lots of fun I can’t wait for next year. Also here is a picture of me and my friends.
