Winter Learning Journey Day 1:Activity 1

C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Boxing gloves (ancient games).jpg

If I was alive 2792 years ago and was invited to compete in the first ever ancient Olympic Games I would have to pick out of 6 events. Running, wrestling, boxing, pankration, horse racing and pentathlon. Out of the choices I would have to pick boxing as it’s a favourite sport of mine and a enjoyable sport to learn.

Summer Learning Journey W1:D4

Activity 1:
Title: The Long Way Home

Author: Andrew Klavan

Description:

Wanted for the murder of his best friend and for connections to a terrorist plot, Charlie is convinced he’s innocent. If only he could convince everyone else.

A year ago, Charlie West went to sleep a normal schoolboy. He woke up a convicted criminal with no memory of what happened to him. Now he’s on the run and desperate to get his life back.

Luckily, Charlie has a plan that could get him off the hook. To clear his name, he just needs to get back home to Spring Hill. But with both the cops and a terrorist organisation on his tail, getting home could be harder than he ever imagined…

Activity 2:

Title: Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

I recommend this book for curious kiwi as it has a interesting storyline, good vocab and awesome doodles. (I have read other D.O.A.W.K books as well!)

Holiday Highlights Week 1

Touch Finals!
On the first week of the holidays I had my last touch game at Lloyd Elsmore Park. If we won our match then we are the champions for our division (Division 2). To my team’s surprise we had won our touch game, hooray! For our prize we each got a touch trophy from the touch organizers and a medal from our team manager.
Wave Rave!
Later in the first week of the holidays, I went to a wave rave with my friends (Louis, Tai and Janice) at G.I Pools. We got to do heaps of fun activities like we had to find these orange balls and if we found one we got a prize. They also had an inflatable rocket which you had to run all the way across. Each time my friends and I completed the mission we got a ferrero rocher (Chocolate). Also there was a particular game that I liked the most and it was heads or tails. You had to walk around the pool and when the official says stop then you stop and he makes an invisible line and he picks weather you’re heads or tails.
Later that day we went and saw some Christmas lights at a house on West Tamaki Road. Check out these photos!
