Winter Learning Journey D1:A3 (Bonus)

During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games. I reckon that this is an unfair rule as women should've been able to compete even to watch because what's wrong with having ladies watching or competing. Women should have the same rights as men.

  1. Hi Stevenson,

I completely agree with you and feel that women should have the same opportunities that men have to play sport and attend events. They, like men, are humans too and deserving of the same amount of respect and consideration.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this rule. I am looking forward to reading more of your posts over the next two weeks!

    Cheers, Rachel

  5. Hi Stevenson,

I really appreciate the effort that you went to, to write your response to this activity. It is certainly a difficult question and you considered it carefully. I completely agree with you that women deserve respect and should be treated with care and love, although I do think that competing with men in events like wrestling may not have been a very safe idea.

    Keep it up!
    Iisa
