Winter Learning Journey D4:A1

Rieko Ioane is a young speedstar who currently plays for the Auckland Blues. He made his debut last year at only 17 years old. Rieko was selected for the New Zealand Rugby Sevens team to compete at the Rio Olympics 2016.
Three interesting facts about him are:
- Him and his brother (Akira Ioane) are both playing in the New Zealand Sevens team.
- He attended Auckland Grammer School
- And he plays Centre/Winger the same positions I play.

  1. He plays the same position as you?! That is really cool, Stevenson! I will definitely look out for Rieko this year when I am watching the Rugby Sevens event on TV. I hope that both he and his brother, Akira, have a great time at the Olympics. Their entire family must be so excited that they have both been selected to represent New Zealand. It is such a huge honour!
