Wool And Nail Art With Mr. Wiseman

In inquiry with Mr. Wiseman room 3 were doing wool and nail art. This is a design both Jordan and I agreed on. There’s only three steps to making your own wool and nail art. Equipment you need is a hammer, 11 nails, one star stencil, square piece of wood and a long string of wool. The first step is the star stencil, you need to place it into the centre of the wood. The second step is you hammer the nails through the star stencil [five outside, five inside and one in the middle]. Once you've finished that, rip the star stencil off and tie the end of your wool on the top nail. Then go for gold and make your own creation.

Selecting Pt England School Intermediate Football Teams

As captain for the soccer A team I was given the task of organizing our PES intermediate football teams. This was for our annual upcoming Tamaki Cluster Football Tournament 2016 (TCFT). This tournament will be held in our massive backyard. Pt. England Reserve! CheeHooo….!

For this task I had to:

  1. Decide how many teams we were going to have
  2. How many players in each team
  3. Place players where their strongest position would be

After trials I decided that we would have three teams of 13 so that everyone had the opportunity to play. I ranked all the players according to their soccer skills, strengths and weaknesses from one to three. Things I took into consideration was if they were turning up to practises and their knowledge of the game. If players were ranked a #1 they would be placed in the A team. If ranked with a #2 they would be placed in the B team. Players ranked with a #3 would be in the C team. Once everyone was in a team I had to figure out people who would be good at being a captain and vice-captain for their team. As you already know I’m captain for the A team along with my Vice Joshua. For the B Team is Johnlee Captain and Owen Vice. And the C team has Mubashir as Captain and Lomio as the Vice.

Thank you to Ms Va’afusuaga for giving me the opportunity to organise these teams. I wish my teams well and hope that everyone enjoys this event.

Immersion Assembly Term 2 2016

On a chilly, freezing morning I fell off my bed and had a surprise wake up. I remembered it is the first day of Term 2 and I’m so unorganized. It's 8:15am and I'm ready to travel to school. I arrive at school now it’s nearly 8:30 so run to my classroom and get ready for our Termly Immersion Assembly.

The first item that kicked off the day was from Team 1. Mrs George, Mrs Dwyer, Mrs Lal, Ms Peck and Ms Wild. They had a video talking about their favourite things. One of Mrs George favourite things was Hokey Pokey Whittaker's Chocolate, I love that as well. I also like football/ers Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi as much as Mrs Lal.

My favourite item was from Team 4. The Teacher Vengers! Characters included…
Wondering Woman - Miss Lavakula, Bear Baxindine, Team Leader America - Mr. Sommerville, Bat Guy - Mr. Goodwin, and the Amatuer Heroes - Ms Moala and Miss West. I liked that item because it was humorous, had action and a good plot and ending.

First day back at school was a good start. I’m looking forward to the term ahead and the exciting activities as well.
