  1. Legoland - A HUGE THEME PARK with 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions.

I would visit the four famous landmarks you have suggested as I would like to see it for my own eyes and see why it's popular. I’d also take photos of me at Legoland Malaysia’s first and biggest international theme park.

SkyTower* - Its New Zealand's tallest building.

Rainbows End* - Most popular theme park.

Waiwera* - One of the biggest water parks in NZ (photo of the movie pool)

  1. Hi Stevenson,

What a great picture of you, Solomon and Faith at the SkyTower. It looks like it was taken at night as you can see the lights of the city glowing the background. Auckland is a really beautiful city at night, isn't it?

I hope that you guys had a great time exploring the downtown area. I also hope that you were able to get to some of the landmarks that you listed on your blog. Thanks for including links to each landmark. I enjoyed following the links and was able to learn more about each place that you had highlighted. Of the six major landmarks that you posted, I have only been to two (SkyTower and Beehive) so I clearly have a lot more sightseeing to do here in NZ!

Perhaps over the next few days I will be able to visit Rainbow's End. Aronui has been asking to go for weeks and I have been working but there may be time on the week-end to go as a 'pre-school' celebration.

Speaking of celebrations, I will be coming in to Pt England school early in the new year to celebrate our Summer Learning Journey participants, and particularly those of you, who have completed all 14 days' worth of activities. Well done, Stevenson. That is a huge accomplishment! You should be very proud of all of your hard work. I certainly am (very proud)!

Wishing you very fun-filled and successful year at Pt England. I'll look forward to meeting you soon.

  2. Hi Stevenson,

Thanks for commenting on my blog! Love the choices of locations you picked in your post. I especially love "Waiwera". GOSH, SO many memories were made there!! Whether you're swimming or not swimming (though if you're not swimming, prepare to get wet!), you'll need to document the memories to look at for a long time!

It takes a long time to get there, but it's alllllll worth it...

Great job, and good luck in your last year of primary/intermediate!

  3. Some amazing pictures on this activity. Our students study travel and tourism and they have been really interested in this blog. We are going to start looking at Asia after the half term .

  4. Hi Stevenson,

Congratulations! You were the second most active blogger from Pt England School for the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. Way to go!

I see that Sam, a teacher from a school in south-eastern England (ACE) has recently commented on your holiday blogging. That's awesome that you're attracting comments from people living overseas! You should be really proud. It's an awesome achievement!

Given your involvement with the programme, I would love to come into Pt England this year to meet up and chat a bit about the summer blogging programme. I am hoping to improve the current design and to launch it in all 12 Manaiakalani cluster schools next summer (2016-2017). Would you be willing to chat with me? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Finally, I have a prize for you to acknowledge your awesome work. I will bring it into Pt England school early in the year to give it to you.

See you at school in a few weeks!

  5. Hey Stevenson it is so cool about your summer learning and spending time with your family. Keep up the good work with your learning and family.
