Parakai Springs

Waiting for my friends, Collin and Tai, I listened to music. It took a long time to pick me up but they eventually did. I was exhausted with the long drive that I nearly fell asleep. Finally we had arrived at the beautiful Parakai Springs at a time of 12:00! Entering the pools my friends and I waited in the que to pay for our entry fee. After paying Collin, Tai and I sprinted off to the hydroslide.
“WOOHOO!” We screamed while we slid down the twisty and tourney slide. Running back with my friends we slid down again, continuously. It was fantastic! It was a rough time of 4:00 so my friend, Tai’s, mum decided to leave Parakai. Tai and Collin sang the songs that were playing in the car while I fell asleep. We drove safely back home.
Experiencing Parakai Springs was awesome. I loved the slide the most as it had twist and turns.

Holiday Highlight Week 5
Hanging With My Cousins
It was the last week of the school holidays and for the last week I just chilled out with my cuzzies. From the left is Hector, Kristopher, Elijah, Me, Juliana and David on the right. We watched cartoons together on the couch. Hector, David and I walked to the G.I train station and caught a train to Sylvia Park. We also had a sleepover in the lounge which was awesome because we got to play xbox games and watch movies.
NIUEAN ZONE ATHLETICS
Saturday morning I jumped out of bed and travelled to Massey Park, where the Niuean Zone Athletics was held. When we arrived at the park we started off with marching. Then it was the four to six year olds that were running before, I ran the 100metre sprints.
It was my turn to race and I had butterflies in my stomach. “Take your marks, set GO!” The race official shouted. Sprinting off the start line I could hear my family cheering for me. “Go stevenson!” They cheered. As I approached the finish line I was greeted with a big hug from my nana. I came first and got rewarded with a blue ribbon. Running back to where I was sitting I showed my mum and she was proud. I waited for my next race, which was the 200metres and I won that heat too. It was the finals and I came second in both of them and got a platinum medal. I also got a bronze medal for the eight to tens relays. This was an awesome time at the Niuean Zone Athletics, looks at the photos below.
MOVIES IN THE PARK
To end the last week of the school holidays, I drove to Pt. England Reserve to watch Wreck It Ralph. It was an outdoor cinema. This was my first time attending this type of event. Awesome was the way to describe watching a movie outdoors on a massive as screen.
I saw two of my friends named Zane and Janice. My mum and I sat next to Janice and her family, and Zane and his cousin joined us. When the sun was gone and the moon was up the movie had finally started. It felt like a normal cinema at the movies except we had blankets and a picnic.
When the movie ended everybody clapped and made their way home.

Holiday Highlights Week 3
The reason why we went to Niue was to celebrate Galiki Family Reunion, this was awesome meeting the family from all around the world, including Canada!
Hooray! I had arrived back in New Zealand, home sweet home! It was a Sunday and it was my friend Janice's birthday the next day, I was excited because my mum told me that we were going to Jump and Swimarama. I couldn’t wait. Janice and her mum Natasha picked me up, roughly at 9:30 am. We went to Jump in east tamaki first and we went straight on all these trampolines, it was awesome! They had a foam pit, basketball turf ball and a freetime area where you leap on many trampolines one after the other.
Holiday Highlights Week 2
On the second week of the school holidays I went to see some more Christmas lights with my cousin, mum and nana at motat and Franklin Road on Friday. There were all these houses that were covered in bright colourful lights. It was just beautiful driving through the street.
The day after Christmas I went to Niue and I was excited because, I couldn’t wait to see my cousins! When we arrived in the boiling hot Island of Niue, it was dusk. My adventure had just begun. During my visit in Niue I slept over at my aunt's in Hakupu, swam at Avatele Beach (Avatele pronounced as Avasele) and also had a dip at the pool at Matavai Resort. We also celebrated a few birthdays including my cousin Elijah’s second birthday.
Holiday Highlights Week 1
Touch Finals!
On the first week of the holidays I had my last touch game at Lloyd Elsmore Park. If we won our match then we are the champions for our division (Division 2). To my team’s surprise we had won our touch game, hooray! For our prize we each got a touch trophy from the touch organizers and a medal from our team manager.
Wave Rave!
Later in the first week of the holidays, I went to a wave rave with my friends (Louis, Tai and Janice) at G.I Pools. We got to do heaps of fun activities like we had to find these orange balls and if we found one we got a prize. They also had an inflatable rocket which you had to run all the way across. Each time my friends and I completed the mission we got a ferrero rocher (Chocolate). Also there was a particular game that I liked the most and it was heads or tails. You had to walk around the pool and when the official says stop then you stop and he makes an invisible line and he picks weather you’re heads or tails.
Later that day we went and saw some Christmas lights at a house on West Tamaki Road. Check out these photos!
