There was once an orca named Spartica,

who was from the continent Antarctica,

breeching in the sea,

with lots of glee,

that happy old orca from Antarctica.

For a DLO I came up with a poster to describe the different features of Leopard Seals and how these features help them to interact and survive in the world.

NRL Cards 2013

Guess what the new craze is? It is the NRL ( Nation Rugby League) 2013 traders cards.
One packet of cards cost five dollars with twelve cards inside. There are a variety of league teams. My favorites are the Rabbitohs and the Roosters.

There are some special cards such as the 2012 retirements/ 2013 young guns/ 2012 chart toppers and the past premiership cards. I have Micheal Luck retirement card, Adam Reynolds chart topper goals and the 2006 Broncos premiership card.

Most people have parallel cards because they are easy to collect. With these cards many people at my school challenge each other to determine who is better or to collect more cards. I sometimes verse students or go and buy them to try get the whole collection.

NRL cards are the best cards because I enjoy challenging my friends with them. The only downside is that they are expensive and there will be a new craze next year.

Differences And Similarities Between the Emperor And Adelie Penguins

Today we had to find out what is the difference between the Emperor and Adelie penguin. This is what I came up with.

Celebrating Zane's Birthday

Yesterday morning I got dropped off to my friends house to celebrate his birthday. His name is Zane and he was turning 9. When I got there an entered his house there weren’t much people there. There were only 5 kids and 1 adult. Their names were Kaycee, Zane, Jordan, Josh and Iziah. I was wondering why?, then I realised that I was too early.

After entering I gave Zane his present from me. As he opened his present he saw that he had got a playboy miami spray, wax for your hair and a white Lonsdale beanie. After Zane opened his present we waited for the others.

Finally they turned up, Louis, Collin and Taimana. When they came I played Tekken 6 on XBOX 360 against the birthday boy Zane. I picked one of my good people that I know how to control which was Steve Fox, Zane picked King. “ The challenge is on Zane.” I said challengingly. Then Zane replied,“ challenge accepted.’’ Then the combat started. BOOM! BOOM! POW! POW! We kept on beating each other up, but then I won. When the birthday finished I went home and fell asleep in my bedroom.

Going and celebrating Zane’s birthday was so incredibly spectacular.

WILL.I.AM Visits Pt.England School

Seeing WILL.I.AM

This morning after morning tea, we had a special guest coming. I was sitting in the school hall wondering who it was? I was very anxious to see who this mystery guest was, until Mr. Burt announced him in front of the whole school. His name was WILL.I.AM. He came to present a $100,000 cheque to help the Maniakalani community. 

When he came every one was shocked. I think everybody was shocked because they are a fan of his music or they have not seen a celebrity in person before. He is a famous international popstar and one of the Black Eye Peas singers.

While he was here he told us some things about his life like where he lives which is California, Los Angeles. Also he had never met his father before. Another fact about him is that he was raised in the projects which is what Americans call state houses.

Seeing WILL.I.AM at school in person was an unbelievable experience.

Writing About Antarctica

The weather in Antarctica is freezing cold. Antarctica is the worlds largest desert. It also has icebergs and many more interesting things that you won’t find in New Zealand. Also when you go swimming in the Antarctic Ocean the more deeper you swim the warmer it gets.

There are a variety of animals that live in Antarctica. There are some small animals, big animals and vicious animals. The animals that live in Antarctica  are Seals, Killer Whales (Orcas),Penguins and many more.

I learnt today that in the Antarctic sea the deeper you go the warmer it gets.
Also that the Antarctic sea has coral like Niue.

Doing The Cup Song

Have you heard of a movie called Pitch Perfect? Well I have and I love it. There is a scene, which is my favourite part of the movie, with a girl in it named Beca. She does an audition which people call the cup song. Here is a short movie of me doing it. Hope you enjoy.

Iron Man 3

Have you seen a movie called Iron Man 3? Well I have and it is awesome. My mum and I went and watched Iron Man 3 in 3D at Imax.

When the movie started I was so excited because I had never seen Iron Man 3. Also because we watched it in 3D so the graphics popped out of the screen.

Now the movie starts of with a New Years Eve party in Switzerland. Lots of rich people gathered to the party including billionaire Tony Stark.

Tony Stark is Iron Man. He is also a mechanic.

During the movie Tony buys a massive inflatable dog for his girlfriend and puts it outside.  When she gets home she laughs because the dog is adorable. Then suddenly missiles launch from a helicopter and hits Tony’s mansion which makes it split in half. Then Jarvis, Tony's prototype, goes to save him but he points to his girlfriend to go save her. When she gets into safety Tony gets his suit back but it is too late because his mansion collapsed into the ocean with him.

Then lots of  action happens including fights, bombs and buildings collapsing. My favorite part of the movie was the ending because Iron Man’s girlfriend gets her revenge on the Mandarin because he turned her into a fire person. Also he is the one who destroyed Iron Man’s house. How did she get her revenge? Her arm got censored by one of Tony’s prototypes and she used the electrolytes to destroy the Mandarin.

Watching Iron Man 3 at the movies was so cool.
